Published: 10 April 2019
MasterChef Australia Season 11 is almost al dente! We have a new crop of home cooks ready to put their heart on the plate with their signature dish.
With 24 coveted white aprons on offer, and thousands of people applying for the show, knocking the socks off Australia’s favourite judges is as difficult as ever.
The Judges Are Ready
Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris are poised and ready to relish in all the new flavour sensations due to hit their palates.
Meet The MasterChef Hopefuls
Vivacious 28-year-old Jess Hall, who has an all-or-nothing approach to the kitchen, wears her heart on her sleeve and is pedantic in making sure everything is perfect for the judges.
Garden educator, Tim Bone, may look like the world’s favourite red headed prince, but the 33-year-old is still on the hunt for his crowning achievement in the kitchen. Does Tim have a touch of royalty about him?
This season’s lovable hipster is 29-year-old brewery sales manager Kyle Lyons, who knows the value of pairing a cold beer with a solid feed and dreams of owning his own microbrewery in his home state of Western Australia. Kyle’s signature dish is king oyster mushroom scallops, with one catch – there’s actually no scallops in his dish. Will this be a hit or a miss?
IT project manager Sandeep is plating up a traditional feast from his hometown, Kashmir. After a tough upbringing, Sandeep’s parents created a life of opportunity for their son and now, at 37 years old, it’s his chance to shine in the kitchen. As a lover of spice, Sandeep hopes to elicit a drop of sweat from Georgie Calombaris’ head with his signature dish.
